Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has said that Ukrainian intelligence agencies and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are able to quickly obtain information from Telegram and use it for military purposes.
In a statement issued Saturday, the FSB’s Public Relations Center said it has “reliable information” that data posted on the Telegram messaging platform can be rapidly accessed by Ukrainian forces and exploited in combat operations, The Caspian Post reports, citing Russian media.
According to the agency, an analysis of Telegram’s use over the past three months indicates that Russian service members operating in the special military operation zone have faced repeated threats to their lives linked to the use of the messenger.
The FSB warned that sharing information through Telegram in the conflict zone poses security risks for Russian military personnel.
