Russia Strikes Five Naftogaz Facilities in Ukraine, Sparking Fires

Energy infrastructure in Ukraine has come under renewed pressure after strikes hit multiple facilities belonging to Naftogaz state energy company.

Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi said five sites were struck over the past 24 hours, resulting in damage, fires, and a temporary halt in production at affected facilities, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.

The impacted infrastructure is located in the northeastern Sumy and Kharkiv regions, areas that have repeatedly faced attacks amid the ongoing conflict. Koretskyi noted that equipment at several sites was damaged and warned that the intensity of strikes is increasing.
