Turkish defense company Baykar has announced that 30 members of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces completed a training program at its facility in northwestern Türkiye.

The group included 15 pilots and 15 trainee mechanics and electronics specialists. They completed their training at Baykar’s Flight Training and Testing Center in Çorlu, according to Anadolu Agency.

In 2023, Baykar and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense signed an agreement covering the export of Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned combat aerial vehicles and cooperation in the defense sector.

Under the agreement, Bayraktar AKINCI drones are set to enter service with the Saudi Armed Forces.

As part of the cooperation, Baykar will also provide training, technical support and logistics services.
