Syria's President Arrives in Türkiye for Expected Meeting With Trump

Syria's transitional President Ahmed al-Sharaa has arrived in Ankara, where he is expected to meet US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO Summit.

The two leaders are expected to discuss key regional developments and the future of US-Syria bilateral relations during their talks, The Caspian Post reports via Syrian newspaper Al Watan.

After landing in Ankara, al-Sharaa traveled to the Presidential Complex in Beştepe, the official residence of the President of Türkiye, where high-level meetings are taking place alongside the NATO gathering.

If held, the talks would mark the third meeting between the Syrian and US presidents in 2025. The two leaders previously met in Washington on November 10 and in Riyadh on May 14.
