Turkish Ambassador Highlights July 15 as Key Turning Point in Modern History

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun has emphasized that on July 15, Türkiye marks a significant and transformative moment in its modern history.

Akgun made these remarks at an event dedicated to Türkiye’s Democracy and National Unity Day, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The ambassador underscored Türkiye’s ongoing battle against the FETÖ terrorist organization, which has persisted for nine years. “We will continue this fight until FETÖ is completely eliminated,” he affirmed.

He also acknowledged the steadfast support Türkiye has consistently received from its close ally, Azerbaijan, describing it as a vital pillar in Türkiye’s efforts.
