Türkiye's Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) has approved a new round of senior military appointments as part of the Turkish Armed Forces' regular leadership rotation.
Under the decisions adopted by the council, Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu will continue serving as commander of the Turkish Navy after his tenure was extended by one year, The Caspian Post reports.
The council also named General Rafet Dalkıran as the new commander of the Turkish Air Force, making his appointment one of the most significant leadership changes announced following the annual meeting of the country's highest military decision-making body.
The latest personnel appointments are part of Türkiye's routine rotation of senior commanders, a process designed to ensure continuity and facilitate an orderly transition of leadership within the armed forces.
