Türkiye’s Interior Ministry has revealed the outcome of a sweeping anti-drug operation carried out across five provinces, resulting in the detention of 346 individuals suspected of involvement in narcotics distribution.
The coordinated raids targeted 93 locations and were conducted with the participation of 635 police officers, The Caspian Post reports, citing TRT Haber.
The operation was also supported by 13 specially trained detection dogs.
During the crackdown, authorities seized 83,625 psychotropic pills and 11 kilograms of narcotic substances.
Law enforcement officials additionally confiscated numerous unlicensed firearms, including pistols and hunting rifles, as well as drug-use paraphernalia and precision scales believed to have been used in trafficking activities.
