Türkiye has introduced a visa exemption for Syrian citizens holding diplomatic passports.
Under the new rules, holders of Syrian diplomatic passports can enter Türkiye without a visa for tourist trips of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, according to a presidential decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the country’s official gazette, Resmi Gazete.
The exemption also covers transit travel through Türkiye, allowing eligible diplomatic passport holders to pass through the country without obtaining a visa.
