Türkiye Ready to Host New Ukraine Peace Talks in Istanbul

Türkiye is ready to host a new round of negotiations on the Ukraine conflict in Istanbul if the parties confirm their willingness to return to the negotiating table.

The talks could be organized within a very short timeframe once both sides agree to participate, The Caspian Post reports via Gazeta.ru.

Türkiye has repeatedly positioned itself as a potential venue for diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

On July 17, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said after his visit to Kyiv that Ankara was ready to support initiatives aimed at holding peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

During the visit, Fidan also discussed the current state of the Russia-Ukraine conflict with Ukraine’s acting Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and other senior Ukrainian officials.

If the parties confirm their readiness, Istanbul could once again become a venue for renewed diplomatic contacts between Russia and Ukraine.
