Türkiye Seeks Arrest of Over 130 Suspects in International Forex Fraud Scheme

Turkish authorities have sought the arrest of 133 suspects in a case involving an international fraud scheme that authorities say was linked to Israel.

The scheme operated through 25 companies and around 40 call centers and financial offices, where funds were collected from citizens under the guise of investment activities, according to TRT Haber.

A total of 213 people were detained as part of the investigation. Of those, 24 were released after questioning, while judicial control measures were imposed on 56 others.

Turkish authorities also reported the seizure of assets belonging to the suspects, including approximately 1.5 billion Turkish liras, 80 vehicles and 12 properties.

The investigation into the fraud network is ongoing.
