A light-engine aircraft crashed in the Moscow Region, killing both people on board, according to an emergency service source, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.

"A light-engine aircraft crashed during landing in the Sergiyev Posad city district. When it hit the ground, it caught fire. Two people on board were killed," the source said.

The source said the crash occurred at the Vikhrevo airfield, where there were no casualties.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
