A serious road accident in Türkiye's Istanbul has left two people dead and ten others injured after a minibus overturned in the city’s Silivri district.

The crash occurred on a roadway in western Istanbul, triggering a large emergency response. Police officers, paramedics, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident was reported, The Caspian Post reports via Anadolu Agency.

Emergency teams provided immediate assistance to the injured passengers before transporting them to nearby hospitals for treatment. Police have not yet released details on the condition of those hospitalized.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine what led to the vehicle overturning.
