Ukraine’s Drone Forces Hit $20B in Russian Military Assets

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have reportedly inflicted $20 billion in damage to Russian military equipment in just seven months.

Since their creation in 2024, the specialized drone unit has carried out over 832,000 sorties, hitting more than 168,000 enemy targets, including 532 tanks, 2,500 guns and howitzers, 7,700 vehicles, and 5,500 motorcycles, while reportedly eliminating over 50,000 Russian personnel, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

The forces have also conducted 350+ attacks inside Russian territory, targeting air defenses, radar installations, military factories, and oil refineries, including strikes on a Russian S-300V radar, TOR missile system, S-350 Vityaz radar, and the Ilsky oil refinery in Krasnodar.

The Unmanned Systems Forces, a separate branch of Ukraine’s military, integrate aerial, maritime, and ground drones to deliver asymmetric deterrence and compensate for aviation and artillery shortages.
