Tajik Dried Fruits Stand Out at Major Paris Food Exhibition

Three companies from Isfara, Tajikistan - Barakat Isfara, Fruits Valley, and Ali Apricot - are representing the country at the Food Ingredients Europe 2025 exhibition in Paris from December 2-4.

The event features over 1,500 exhibitors showcasing global food and beverage innovations, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.

Supported by the Swiss Government through the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the Trade Promotion East (TPE) program, the Tajik delegation is promoting its high-quality dried fruits, including apricots and raisins, to attract international buyers, distributors, and partners.

“This participation highlights ITC’s commitment to expanding the reach of Tajik dried fruits internationally,” said Saidmumin Kamolov, ITC National Project Manager. Lutfullo Ortuqov, Manager of Fruits Valley, added that the exhibition is an ideal platform to strengthen brands, explore market trends, and meet major food producers.

In addition to product showcases, the Tajik companies are taking part in panels, seminars, and business forums, gaining insights into global consumer preferences and market demands.

The initiative underscores Tajikistan’s efforts to expand exports, diversify markets, and enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the dried fruit sector. The TPE program, funded by Switzerland’s SECO, supports SMEs across Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Albania, and Serbia, helping local businesses connect with international markets and adopt sustainable practices.

Over the past 30 years, Switzerland has provided around $500 million in grants to support Tajikistan’s development, focusing on economic growth, social and democratic development, water management, and good governance.
