Uzbekistan exported over 23,400 tons of apricots worth $18.8 million to 14 countries between January and July 2025.
The bulk of the shipments went to Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) nations, with Russia accounting for the lion’s share at 17,111 tons, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Kazakhstan followed with 4,256 tons, while Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, and Belarus imported 1,249 tons, 305 tons, and 218 tons, respectively.
Beyond the CIS, Uzbek apricots also made their way to Iraq (142 tons), Azerbaijan (40 tons), Poland (39 tons), and several other international markets, which collectively received 86 tons.
Uzbekistan is one of Central Asia’s key producers of stone fruits, and apricots remain among its most sought-after seasonal exports, renowned for their flavor and quality.
