Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda has had phone talks with Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, urging a full and objective investigation into the murder of 10-year-old Tajik boy Qobiljon Aliyev at a school in Odintsovo, Moscow region.
Rahimzoda stressed that such crimes shock society and may be exploited by radical nationalist groups to incite further violence, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
He demanded that all causes be identified and those responsible held accountable. Kolokoltsev assured that criminal proceedings are underway in Russia and that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure a fair investigation under strict supervision.
The case highlights concerns over school safety and the need for international cooperation in addressing violent crimes targeting children.
