Tajikistan and China Foreign Ministers Discuss Cooperation Issues

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, in Tianjin on July 16, according to the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan.

The Ministers reviewed and discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of President of China Xi Jinping to Tajikistan in 2024 and the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Astana in June 2025, which opened new horizons for further strengthening of the strategic partnership, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Wang Yi also touched upon the status and prospects of cooperation on a wide range of issues of bilateral relations.

The Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and China exchanged views on cooperation within international and regional organizations, in particular, within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, including preparations for the upcoming summit of the Organization in Tianjin this September.
