Tajikistan’s Annual Inflation Eases to 3.4% in March – EDB Reports

Consumer price growth in Tajikistan eased to 3.4% year-on-year in March 2025, down from 3.7% in February, according to a report by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

EDB analysts forecast that Tajikistan's inflation should be restrained until the end of 2025 owing to the national currency's stability and the absence of inflationary pressure from imports, The Caspian Post reports citing Interfax.

"We expect that solid domestic demand should result in higher inflation by the end of 2025, though the figure will likely remain within the National Bank's target range of 5% at plus or minus 2%," the EDB projects.

As reported, Tajikistan's inflation decelerated to 3.6% in 2024 from 3.8% in 2023.
