Tajikistan has presented its key investment projects at the Central Asia-US Business Conference held in Washington as part of the C5+1 Summit.
The Tajik delegation included officials from several ministries and agencies, successful entrepreneurs, and academic representatives, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
The conference featured multiple thematic sessions, where Tajik delegates outlined proposals to boost cooperation in promising sectors - from industry and digitalization to green energy and innovation.
A major focus was placed on attracting foreign investment, sharing expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), and developing advanced technologies.
Young Tajik AI specialist Azizjon Azimi emphasized the importance of collaboration in intellectual property and highlighted the crucial role of AI in today’s world. He noted that, with government support, Tajikistan is taking concrete steps toward the wide and effective implementation of AI technologies.
Conference participants also pointed to the country’s natural resources as a strong foundation for developing entrepreneurship, trade, and industry. New areas for cooperation were identified in engineering, metallurgy, light industry, food production, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and construction materials manufacturing.
Tajikistan’s tourism potential drew particular interest. Speakers noted that the country’s mountain landscapes, rich history, and cultural heritage could make it a leading destination for mountain, eco-, and wellness tourism.
By the end of the conference, participants agreed on the importance of expanding cooperation between Central Asian nations and the United States, especially in economics, trade, investment, science, digitalization, and modern technologies.
