President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has approved the official symbol for 2026, declared the “Year of Development and National Identity.”
The emblem reflects the country’s vision for growth and unity, featuring a mix of natural and modern elements including the sun, snow-capped mountains, greenery, infrastructure such as tunnels and power lines, as well as key state landmarks like the government building, national flag, and the Palace of the Nation, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
The design also highlights an open book, symbolizing knowledge and the strengthening of national consciousness.
The visual composition aims to represent both Tajikistan’s natural landscape and its ongoing modernization efforts, reinforcing themes of progress, education, and national identity heading into 2026.
