Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended heartfelt congratulations to farmers, agricultural workers, and the nation on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, celebrating the country’s rich agricultural achievements.
In his message, the president expressed deep respect and gratitude for the hard work of Turkmen farmers, emphasizing that the festival symbolizes national pride in the generous gifts of Turkmen soil and honors the efforts of the country’s land cultivators, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
This year, Turkmen grain growers delivered over 1.4 million tons of high-quality wheat to the state - a figure the president described as a source of abundance and prosperity.
President Berdimuhamedov highlighted that the government continues to take comprehensive measures to strengthen the agricultural sector, modernize infrastructure, and introduce advanced farming technologies.
“This work includes improving agricultural culture, adopting modern production technologies, and enhancing seed selection,” he noted. “Significant progress is also being made in developing livestock farming, including poultry production, ensuring food security, promoting efficient land and water use, and protecting the environment.”
The president also mentioned the regular procurement of modern machinery and equipment, the supply of mineral fertilizers and high-quality seeds, and timely payments to producers for their harvests.
He assured that the government will continue to create favorable conditions for farmers, cotton growers, grain producers, agronomists, breeders, and agricultural specialists to work productively and live well. President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the labor of Turkmen farmers will always receive due recognition.
Concluding his congratulatory address, the president wished farmers good health, family happiness, and continued success, saying:
“May the abundance of Turkmenistan’s generous land never cease!”
Turkmenistan celebrates the Harvest Festival every year on the second Sunday of November.
