Turkmenistan Sends Major Humanitarian Aid to Earthquake-Stricken Afghanistan

Turkmenistan has dispatched a significant shipment of humanitarian aid to support the Afghan people affected by the recent devastating earthquake.

The initiative was carried out under the guidance of the National Leader of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

The plan was announced during a meeting of the Charitable Foundation for Children in Need of Guardianship, named after Berdimuhamedov. Executive Director Oguldzha Khan Atabaeva emphasized that the disaster deeply touched the nation and requested permission from the National Leader to prioritize assistance for children.

The humanitarian shipment includes medicines, medical supplies, textiles, and food products. Officials, public organization representatives, and the Acting Afghan Chargé d’Affaires attended the dispatch ceremony.
