Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Bashimova has met with Audrone Perkauskiene, Deputy Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service, to discuss ongoing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU.
The meeting reviewed outcomes from the “Central Asia - EU” ministerial meeting held in Ashgabat in March and highlighted the importance of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, a cornerstone of the country’s foreign policy, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
Preparations were discussed for the upcoming International Forum in Ashgabat on December 12, as well as the next session of the Turkmenistan-EU Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation. Both sides expressed commitment to expanding trade and economic ties and advancing strategic projects in education, ecology, and transport.
