Turkmen Youth Showcase Talent at Prestigious Taekwondo Tournament

A two-day Taekwondo Tournament for the Cup of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan has taken place in Ashgabat, bringing together over 250 young athletes aged 7 to 18 from the capital and across the country.

Held annually since 2010, the tournament is a cornerstone event for the development of taekwondo in Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.

Addressing the participants, Deputy Head of the Korean Embassy Mission, Mr. Kim Jun Chul, highlighted that the sport promotes not only competitive spirit but also values such as respect, courtesy, and patience.

Alongside thrilling matches, the event included a rich cultural program, offering a platform for experience exchange and skill development for both athletes and their coaches.
