Turkmenistan and Austria are moving to strengthen economic relations, with a focus on expanding trade, investment, and financial cooperation.
The discussions took place in Vienna between Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan, and Neda Berger, head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Both sides emphasized the role of the Turkmen-Austrian Society as an important platform for facilitating business dialogue and supporting bilateral economic engagement between the two countries.
Agreements and initiatives developed within this framework were highlighted as key contributors to growing cooperation in trade, finance, and investment.
In addition to economic issues, the meeting also covered cultural and humanitarian cooperation, which officials say helps strengthen broader ties between Turkmenistan and Austria.
