Turkmenistan to Organize International Investment Forum in Malaysia in April

The International Investment Forum to Attract Investments in the Energy Sector of Turkmenistan (TEIF 2025) is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on April 23-24, 2025.

The forum will bring together international investors, government representatives, industry leaders and experts to explore promising investment opportunities and discuss the strategic development of Turkmenistan's key economic sectors, The Caspian Post reports citing Interfax.

The main organizers of the forum are the Turkmengaz and Turkmenneft state concerns as well as the Turkmen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Turkmen Energy Forum economic society.

The event aims to expand opportunities for attracting foreign direct investments into Turkmenistan's energy, transport and communications, construction and financial sectors, while strengthening dialogue on the further development of the energy sector.

More than 300 delegates from over 30 countries are expected to participate in the forum.

The forum will cover topics such as natural gas exports, constructing new gas facilities, electricity generation, and optimizing production at mature fields, as well as clean energy projects, reducing methane and CO2 emissions, and developing renewable energy sources, including solar and wind power.

Investment projects for modernizing oil refineries and developing hydrocarbon fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea will also be on the agenda.

Other key topics include large-scale construction projects, transport, logistics, information technology, telecommunications, and expanding the export potential of industrial, agricultural, textile and food products.
