Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan Eye Private Investment to Strengthen CASCA+ Trade Route

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have explored opportunities to attract new private operators to the CASCA+ transport corridor.

From September 9 to 12, Uztemiriyulcontainer’s delegation visited Baku and held bilateral meetings with Azerbaijani logistics companies ADY Express and Alliance Multimodal, The Caspian Post reports via Uztemiriyulcontainer.

Discussions centered on boosting cargo traffic between the two countries, expanding private sector participation in the CASCA+ corridor, and enhancing cooperation along the China-Europe route.

On September 11, the delegation toured the Absheron Logistics Center, one of Azerbaijan’s key logistics hubs.

The CASCA+ railway initiative, established by Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, and Türkiye, connects Central Asia with Türkiye’s Anatolia via the Caspian Sea and the South Caucasus. The first container block train on the route reached Baku in late 2022, marking a major step in regional transport connectivity.
