Azerbaijani President Sends Warm Wishes to Uzbekistan on 30th Diplomatic Anniversary

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has extended his congratulations to Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

In a gesture of goodwill, President Mirziyoyev responded by sending a congratulatory letter to President Aliyev, commemorating the milestone and expressing hope for the continued strengthening of ties between the two countries, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations in 1993, shortly after gaining independence following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Since then, the two countries have developed strong ties based on shared cultural, historical, and linguistic roots as Turkic-speaking nations. Over the past three decades, their partnership has expanded across political, economic, and cultural fields.

Both nations actively cooperate within regional organizations such as the Turkic Council and maintain regular high-level visits, promoting strategic dialogue and collaboration. Trade, investment, energy, transport, and tourism are key areas of bilateral cooperation, with ongoing efforts to deepen economic ties and connectivity. Their relationship reflects a growing alliance aimed at fostering regional stability and mutual development in Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
