Uzbek Journalists Explore Azerbaijan’s Iconic Gobustan, Mud Volcanoes, and Industrial Park

The Uzbek journalists, currently on a visit to Azerbaijan, have toured several key sites including the Gobustan National Historical-Artistic Preserve, the Mud Volcano Tourism Complex, and the Sumgayit Industrial Park.

During the tour, the delegation was introduced to the unique petroglyphs of the Gobustan Reserve, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007, highlighting its cultural and historical significance, The Caspian Post informs via the Media Development Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (MEDIA).

The group then explored the Mud Volcano Tourism Complex, covering 12 hectares and featuring an information center with an exhibition hall and workshop. Visitors gained insights into the natural and therapeutic properties of the mud volcanoes and examined a detailed model of one of the formations.

At the Sumgayit Industrial Park, the delegation learned about the active enterprises and cutting-edge technologies driving innovation. The Park was recognized as a vital contributor to the development of Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector, the production of new goods, and the enhancement of the country’s export capacity.
