Bilateral Cooperation Expands as Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan Focus on Tourism and Investment Projects

Bakytbek Zhetigenov, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Region, has met with Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation, focusing on joint tourism and investment projects, including the revitalization and modernization of three sanatoriums in Issyk-Kul district and one in Tong district.

Both parties stressed the necessity of ongoing negotiations and coordinated work to enhance the infrastructure and appeal of these facilities, The Caspian Post reports per Kyrgyz media.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening interregional ties between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, fostering tourism growth, and creating an inviting environment for investors.
