Major Anti-Crime Operation Leads to Arrests in Uzbekistan

Six members of an organized criminal group have been detained in Chirchik, Uzbekistan, during a joint operation by security services and police.

The suspects were arrested in an operation conducted by the Uzbek State Security Service and the Interior Ministry. The group is accused of extorting money from citizens using psychological pressure and physical violence, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The detention of six individuals involved in the case was confirmed. Investigators say the group systematically violated public order and engaged in hooliganism, disregarding social norms and rules of conduct.

Officials added that the suspects earned money through intimidation and coercion, applying both psychological and physical pressure on victims.
