Mirziyoyev Sends Birthday Greetings to Azerbaijani Leader

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has had a phone call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, during which he warmly congratulated his counterpart on his birthday.

President Mirziyoyev highlighted Aliyev’s outstanding role in strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence, national unity, sustainable development, and international standing, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The leaders discussed ways to further deepen Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan cooperation, implement agreements reached at the highest level, and reinforce strategic partnership. They also noted the successful results of joint work during the current Year of Economic Cooperation, the active growth of mutual trade, and the advancement of projects across 20 priority areas outlined in the bilateral “roadmap.”

In addition, the presidents exchanged views on cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the dynamic development of contacts at all levels, and ongoing international issues, while agreeing on the schedule for upcoming joint initiatives.
