Uzbek, Armenian Central Banks Seal Cooperation Deal

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan and the Central Bank of Armenia have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral ties across key areas of financial governance.

The agreement covers collaboration in monetary policy, payment systems, financial technologies, project and data management, as well as supervision of banks and non-bank credit institutions, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Expanding Professional Dialogue

Under the memorandum, the two regulators plan to deepen professional dialogue through joint meetings, training programs, seminars, and study visits. The sides will also exchange knowledge and best practices to enhance institutional capacity and regulatory effectiveness.

The document establishes clear principles for information exchange, ensuring that cooperation remains lawful, efficient, and strictly compliant with confidentiality requirements.
