During a recent visit to Kuala Lumpur, an Uzbek delegation has met with Ookla representatives to discuss ongoing collaborations and the potential rollout of Ookla’s RootMetrics initiative and Ookla Certified services in Uzbekistan.
The meeting brought together Ulugbek Shakirov, Director of Uzbekistan’s Republican Center for Management of Telecommunications Network, and Victor Zeng, Senior Commercial Director of Ookla, alongside officials from the Ministry of Digital Technologies, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Ookla showcased its cutting-edge solutions designed to enhance internet infrastructure and improve the accuracy and reliability of network quality monitoring.
Both sides highlighted Uzbekistan’s notable advancements in mobile and fixed internet speeds over recent years. Ookla also expressed interest in leveraging the Drive-Test equipment owned by O‘zTTBRM to perform further network performance assessments.
At the conclusion of the talks, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and launching new joint initiatives in the fields of telecommunications and digital development.
Founded in 2006, Ookla is renowned worldwide for its Speedtest service, used by millions globally to measure internet connection speeds, underscoring its pivotal role in internet performance analytics.
