Uzbek Hospital Receives €10 Million Worth of Austrian Medical Equipment

A major hospital in Uzbekistan's Namangan Region is receiving state-of-the-art medical equipment from Austria as part of a €10 million modernization project aimed at improving trauma and orthopedic care.

The equipment is being delivered to the Namangan branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics under a contract signed between the Namangan regional administration and Austrian company AME International GmbH, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.

So far, the hospital has received 329 pieces of medical equipment across 63 categories, valued at €9.6 million.

Namangan Regional Governor Shavkat Abdurazzakov inspected the newly delivered equipment and emphasized the importance of using the advanced technology efficiently to improve the quality of healthcare services for local residents.

Under the terms of the agreement, the remaining 16 units of medical equipment covering seven categories, worth €400,000, are scheduled to be delivered before the end of the year.
