Uzbekistan, Albania Aim to Strengthen Political, Economic Ties

On September 23, during the UN High-Level Week, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev engaged in talks with his Albanian counterpart Bajram Begaj.

According to the Uzbek president's press service, the parties discussed ways to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

Both sides expressed interest in taking bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level, including through the creation of mechanisms for political dialogue and economic cooperation.

The importance of unlocking the potential of trade and investment ties was highlighted, along with the implementation of joint projects in areas such as agriculture and the food industry, transport, and others.

The parties also exchanged views on regional and international issues.
