Kazakhstani taekwondo athletes Batyrkhan Toleugali and Nazym Makhmutova secured gold medals at the 8th World Taekwondo President’s Cup - Asian Region tournament in Lahore, Pakistan, according to Kazakhstan’s National Olympic Committee.

Toleugali claimed the top spot in the men’s under 87 kg category, while Makhmutova won gold in the women’s under 73 kg division, Kazinform reported.

Kazakhstan also secured three bronze medals earlier at the tournament. Nuray Bauyrzhanova and Rita Bakisheva finished third in the under 49 kg category, while Azim Niyazov took bronze in the under 63 kg division.
