The Azerbaijan national football team defeated Tajikistan 1-0 in a friendly match.

The game was played at the Palms Sports Arena in Baku, The Caspian Post reports.

The only goal of the match came in the 58th minute, when Tajikistan goalkeeper Oleg Baklov scored an own goal.

Following the friendly, Azerbaijan will face Lithuania both at home and away in the UEFA Nations League on September 27 and October 4, respectively.

The team will also host Liechtenstein in Baku on October 1.
