Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan Push Faster Joint Investment Projects

Uzbekistan’s Senate and Legislative Chamber committees have held a joint meeting focused on the implementation of bilateral agreements with Azerbaijan and speeding up joint investment and industrial cooperation projects.

The meeting brought together members of the Senate, members of the Legislative Chamber, as well as heads of relevant ministries, agencies, associations, and organizations, The Caspian Post reports via the Uzbek Senate.

According to the Senate, ministry and agency representatives briefed participants on the progress in fulfilling agreements reached by the presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, the implementation of signed bilateral documents, and the execution of approved roadmaps.

During the discussions, particular emphasis was placed on expanding trade and economic ties, accelerating investment and cooperation projects, and ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of joint initiatives in transport and logistics, energy, industry, agriculture, and other sectors.

Strengthening coordination among responsible ministries and agencies, jointly addressing existing challenges, and enhancing parliamentary oversight of the implementation of agreements were also highlighted.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of relevant decisions and recommendations aimed at ensuring tangible results and the full realization of the agreements reached between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
