Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan Strengthen Financial Ties Through Joint Central Bank Seminar

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has hosted a two-day seminar with representatives from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, focused on strengthening cooperation and exchanging best practices in accounting, financial reporting, and financial management.

The seminar featured a series of interactive sessions and presentations on key areas, including bank budget planning and control, accounting policies, and the implementation of financial processes within central banks, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.

Discussions also covered securities accounting, funding operations, and management of institutions under the oversight of the Central Bank.

Particular attention was paid to enhancing internal accounting controls, ensuring transparency in financial operations, and effectively managing international reserves.

Participants engaged in a productive dialogue about integrating global best practices into national systems, addressing practical challenges, and identifying opportunities for further modernization.

As a result of the seminar, both sides agreed to expand bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on capacity-building and improving the practical skills of central bank personnel.
