Uzbekistan, China Deepen Cooperation in Livestock Industry

Uzbekistan and China are stepping up cooperation in the livestock sector as both countries look to boost agricultural innovation, investment and food production.

Diplomats from the Uzbek Embassy held talks with China Animal Agriculture Association Secretary General Sha Yusheng to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in animal husbandry, The Caspian Post reports via Dunyo.

The two sides agreed to establish systematic cooperation with the association and expressed interest in exchanging advanced expertise, adapting Chinese livestock practices to Uzbekistan’s conditions, and launching joint scientific, technological and investment projects.

As part of the growing partnership, Uzbek specialists are taking part in one of Asia’s largest livestock exhibitions, being held from May 18-20 in Chengdu.

The exhibition brings together leading companies, research institutes, equipment manufacturers and international buyers, showcasing innovations in livestock and poultry farming, breeding technologies, veterinary medicine, animal health, feed production and eco-friendly agricultural solutions.

A major highlight of the event will be the upcoming Uzbek-Chinese Forum on Livestock Cooperation, organized by the Uzbek Embassy in Beijing together with the China Animal Agriculture Association.

Representatives of Uzbek ministries, veterinary services, regional administrations, scientific institutions and business circles are expected to attend, reflecting the growing strategic importance of agricultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
