In the first half of 2025, Uzbekistan saw a significant surge in foreign visitors, welcoming approximately 5.3 million tourists.
This marks a 48.9 per cent increase-1.7 million more visitors-compared to the same period in the previous year, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.
The majority of these visitors, totaling 3,596,799, traveled to Uzbekistan to visit relatives. Leisure travelers made up 783,696 of the arrivals, while 594,023 came on business trips and 223,581 for commercial activities.
The country also attracted 48,557 foreign nationals seeking medical treatment and 9,546 visitors who came for educational purposes, reflecting Uzbekistan’s growing appeal as a destination for diverse travel needs.
