Uzbekistan, Russia Explore Prospects for Further Strengthening Strategic Partnership

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Russian a delegation headed by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who is on a working visit to Samarkand.

The distinguished guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Uzbek leader, The Caspian Post reports, citing uza.uz.

During the conversation, the parties discussed key issues related to further strengthening friendship, comprehensive strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, focusing on the practical implementation of high-level agreements.

The active engagement and productive exchanges across all areas were noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover and investment volumes are steadily growing. Cooperation between regions and leading industrial enterprises is strengthening. Interaction is expanding in culture, arts, science, education, healthcare, sports, and tourism.

Views were exchanged on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
