Uzbekistan’s Regional Electrical Power Networks and EBRD Explore New Partnerships

Representatives from Regional Electrical Power Networks company have recently met with officials from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects to upgrade Uzbekistan’s power supply infrastructure.

The EBRD delegation commended the significant reforms underway in the country's electricity industry and expressed keen interest in supporting initiatives to modernize the system, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Both parties agreed to strengthen their collaboration and to assess promising projects for future development.

In related news, it was previously announced that the EBRD, together with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), will finance the construction of the Beineu-Saksaulskiy highway, underscoring ongoing international investment in Uzbekistan's infrastructure.
