During a working visit to the Tashkent region, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has inspected the operations of Infinity Copper Group, an enterprise located in the Ahangaran district specializing in the production of copper pipes and fittings.
The project is being implemented on a 10-hectare site in partnership with companies from China and Germany, with a total investment of $36 million. Construction and installation work are 90 per cent complete, and $14.9 million has already been utilized, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Cutting Imports, Boosting Exports
In 2025, Uzbekistan imported copper pipes and fittings worth around $15 million. Once the plant reaches full capacity, it is expected to produce import-substituting goods valued at $10 million.
The project will create 300 new jobs, generate approximately 200 billion soums in budget revenues, and establish export potential estimated at $350 million.
Planned export destinations include the United Arab Emirates, African countries, the United States and European markets.
Expanding High-Value Industry
Infinity Copper Group is already one of Uzbekistan’s leading manufacturers in the segment, operating four production sites nationwide.
President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of expanding production in high-value-added industrial sectors and strengthening modern, competitive manufacturing capacities. He noted that developing a broader network of such enterprises would help fully meet domestic demand while reinforcing Uzbekistan’s export potential.
