Armenia is increasingly being recognized as a producer of high-quality dried fruit, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

Pashinyan highlighted growing interest in Armenian dried-fruit products and called the sector a promising area for export growth, according to Sputnik Armenia.

“There are currently dried-fruit products, and I hear from different places that there is interest in them. This is an interesting direction,” Pashinyan said.

With the fresh fruit and vegetable season now coming to an end, the prime minister said Armenia should move ahead with programs designed to support exports of dried fruits and canned products.
