Armenia Open to Direct Imports from Azerbaijan, Says Mirzoyan

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that discussions are underway regarding the possibility of importing goods directly from Azerbaijan to Armenia, bypassing Georgia, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

"The further we move toward institutionalizing peace, the more these psychological complexes in Armenian society recede into the background, the more mutual trust is established, the more we can move forward based on experience and cooperation, such scenarios will become much more realistic," Mirzoyan noted on Armenian Public Television.

In the context of Azerbaijani gasoline supplies to Armenia, the minister thinks this is beneficial for Armenian citizens.

"Tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, we will have to live and travel through their territory, and we will have to buy from them, and they will have to buy from us. We are building a peaceful environment around Armenia," Mirzoyan emphasized.
