Former Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan could be appointed ambassador to one of Europe’s key countries.

The proposal was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Grigoryan has reportedly accepted the offer, according to Armenia Today.

Grigoryan served as Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council from 2018 until August 13, 2026, when he was replaced by Alen Simonyan.

Armenian media previously reported that following his resignation, Pashinyan offered Grigoryan a position as his chief adviser. However, Grigoryan reportedly declined the offer.

He later presented a book at an event attended by Pashinyan and representatives of the ruling Civil Contract party.
