The statements by the Foreign Intelligence Service are never unfounded, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, responding to a question from RIA Novosti about the aforesaid service’s report regarding Armenia’s alleged plans to no longer purchase grain from Russia, The Caspian Post reports citing News.am.
Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service on Wednesday reported that Armenia, for political reasons, wants to “sever ties” with Moscow and provide assistance to Ukraine by purchasing part of Kyiv’s grain.
“As for the messages of the Foreign Intelligence Service, they are never unfounded,” Peskov said.
He added that Russia continues to develop cooperation with Armenia, both bilaterally and within integration processes, Kommersant reports.
“We will continue to do so. Frequent high-level contacts are taking place,” Dmitry Peskov told reporters. “We have many matters on the bilateral cooperation agenda. We hope that this cooperation will continue,” the Kremlin spokesperson noted.
