In Yerevan, it is expected that within the next few years, a direct railway connection with Baku will be established through the TRIPP project, Gevorg Papoyan, Armenia’s Minister of Economy said at a press conference.

The minister mentioned that there might be positive developments regarding the reopening of the Armenia-Türkiye border in the near future, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

"It’s a great advantage that Türkiye is, at least in economic terms, our largest neighbor by GDP. We have the potential to open the border," said the minister.
